Is Le Chat’s logo a pixelated … cat ?! I inherently like/trust/prefer work from smaller companies. Especially Google, I just don’t trust them anymore. I don’t think i could tell you exactly why; used to be the opposite. I noticed recently ChatGPT will throw in a UX message ‘memory updated’ I assume the context is just within that chat?
Jeez, we're talking about cats again :(. I still have some faith left in Google, or maybe it's more that any hope of Google now knowing everything about me as a long long time Gmail user feels like that horse bolted years ago. I'm with you on having an inclination to give the little guys a try though and Mistral has had my attention for a good while.
If you're seeing 'memory updated' in ChatGPT you have opted in to that feature. It goes beyond just the current chat. It will "remember" it until you erase memory history. You'll find that under Settings > Personalization. I like the feature, but I of course use it with even greater caution than I do for all interactions with chatbots.

So... how many AI models do you currently subscribe to? ;-)
