Well, there it is - out there in the world, warts and all - my first real crack at creating a GPT. (What’s a GPT - like a mini ChatGPT, generally with a single or narrow purpose.) It’s called Cyber Mentor, as you can see in the screenshot above. I like this name because I’ve been a team lead in nearly every job I’ve had over the years and I spent several recent years in a side gig where I was a mentor / SME / learning facilitator working with adult students get into a career in cybersecurity.
I’ve worked in IT - from tech support in a call center to network sys admin roles - for more than 25 years; and in cybersecurity for more than 10 years now. I’ve been interested obsessed with GenAI tools for just around a year - but it feels like that year has had dog years level impact on me.
I don’t go a day without thinking about cybersecurity because of my job role; and I don’t go a day without using one or more GenAI apps because they fascinate me and they generally make me better at whatever I’m doing. I want to keep trying to do more with GenAI tools. Creating a GPT, or maybe even a few of them, is just one of the things I want to have a got at.
Here’s the link to Cyber Mentor, I’m pretty sure you only need a free ChatGPT / OpenAI account to access it:

I hope that any of you who are interested in or working in cybersecurity might give it a try out when you have time. And I would love to hear any comments and feedback you have on it - the good, the bad, the ugly, suggestions to make it better, anything you’ve got.
Great idea, works well!
Not working for me in the mobile app. Getting “retry” error. What am I doing wrong?
